In tonight’s American Ninja Warrior episode, they’ve all dreamed of becoming the Ultimate American Ninja Warrior. But there can only be one! The ninjas all competed in tonight’s season finale with the hope of winning the million dollar prize and there were bound to be people left disappointed.

Even as they gave it their all. Elijah Browning was up first. He was known as the Boss because he began as a teenage entrepreneur with several lucrative businesses. He’s also started modeling recently and that’s become a true passion of his. He said the key to modeling was always having fun.

Elijah couldn’t wait to have fun tonight on the course. He started out Stage 3 with a display of great strength. His grip strength was tested. His leg strength was tested. He was the first one out tonight and that meant he was the first to try out the new obstacles. There was the Pressure Cooker.

There was Road Signs. It was the latter that tripped him up. His grip strength ran out on that obstacle. He was just so exhausted that he couldn’t hold on any longer. And so Elijah will have to try again next season.

This was still the best season he’s ever had. He’ll only get better as time goes on and there were still nine more ninjas to test the course. Next up was Ethan Bartnicki. Ethan has trained with Vance Walker.

There were rookies that stood out this season. There was also a third member of their team and unfortunately their friend Travis Rust died recently. He passed due to a motorcycle accident. The boys had been devastated after he was gone. They only pushed through their pain because they knew that’s what Travis would have wanted for them.

They also kept Travis in mind as they competed tonight. They wanted to honor their friend. They dedicated their runs to him. Ethan was a strong contender. He has had an almost perfect season.

He got stumped on Pressure Cooker tonight because it kept spinning him around and so he took a breather after completing that obstacle. The breather probably helped him more than the audience knew. It allowed him to rest his arms a bit before heading into Road Signs.

Ethan used his last bit of strength for that last obstacle. It must have worked because he then became the first finisher of the night. He persevered where others had fallen.

Ethan even had Akbar in tears. Akbar was so proud of him that he called Ethan the best sportsman he’s ever seen. Only the night didn’t end there. Caleb Bergstrom was up next. He was one of the Bergstrom babies. His father has competed. He’s competed with his sister. They both meant their future spouses thanks to ANW and now they all train together.

Caleb had the perfect season. He didn’t fall once all throughout the season. He was so on fire that he did what a Bergstrom has never done before. He made it all the way to Stage 3 and he became the second finisher of the night. Caleb was going to be climbing for that million dollar prize. Will Jonathan Bange join him and Ethan? Jonathan had his run right after Caleb. He was considered tonight’s underdog. Jonathan was a veteran of the show. He’s never hit a buzzer before this season and now he’s made it all way to Stage 3.

Jonathan was a ninja coach. He trains alongside the Houston Ninjas. He had several of them cheering him on and sadly tonight just wasn’t his night. He fell before he could finish the course. He missed out on the prize, but he did show he had it in him to make this far again. Next up was Vance Walker. Vance was one of the best ninja athletes in the world. It was also a true miracle because he was born with cerebral palsy. He was told he would never do sports and now he was competing for a million dollars.

Vance has to do extra exercises as well length strengths due to his condition. He was doing everything possible to ensure his condition didn’t stop him for completing the course and his hard work showed tonight. Vance became a new finisher of Stage 3. He was going to be making the climb. Vance burst into tears after he hit the buzzer. He was happy and grateful for everything and everyone. Next up was Hans Hertz. He completed during the commercial break and that meant we didn’t see too much of him.

Not that it mattered because he too was a finisher. With Hans joining the other guys, there haven’t been this many people making it to Stage 4 ever! This was a first for them. Jera Boyd then had his run. He was nineteen. He just graduated from high school last year and now he was competing on ANW. He was one last piece away from the buzzer when he fell. It was still a great run and hopefully he comes back next year with a new sense of vengeance. And after Jera, there was Kyle Soderman.

Kyle was a veteran. He’s made it this far once before. He fell on the Ultimate Cliffhanger back then. He would go on to fall on that exact same obstacle tonight and so now it’s personal. He will defeat that obstacle one day. Noah Meuner was up next. He was a mild-mannered kid from Massachusetts. He was known for his speed. He tried to go fast again tonight and it worked in his favor. He became the third rookie to make it to Stage 4 tonight.

RJ Roman had his run next. He’s become a great leader within the ninja community. He has pushed through his personal pain to make it this far and he didn’t want to fall again. He fell short the last time he made it this far. The Rocker had his eye on the prize tonight. He used his incredible speed to sail through the course as if it was nothing. He showed no mistakes and he hit a buzzer tonight. But now there was a new record of eight ninjas competing in Stage 4. There was six that made it through tonight. There was two more that made it through last week. And again there can only be one winner.

Stage 4 was brutal. They had to climb up a seventy foot rope within thirty seconds. It was practically impossible and still they had to do it. Hans went first. He didn’t get the timing right, but he held out hope because he knew the fastest runner up could still win a hundred grand. Only he wasn’t the fastest. He finished Stage 4 in forty-two seconds. Nacssa finished his in forty seconds. He’s competed on ANW Juniors. This was his rookie season on the adult version and he’s had a great season. He only missed out on the million dollar prize by ten seconds.

Daniel ran after Nacssa. He’s been here once before. His previous experience with the climb came in handy. He was too slow when he first climbed it. He’s only gotten faster since then. Daniel hit the buzzer within the right timeframe and he could win a million dollars if no one else beats his time. Daniel was hoping to start a family with his wife. The million dollars will come in handy for that. Next up was Noah. He looked like Clark Kent and flew like Superman. He just wasn’t fast enough to beat Daniel’s time.

Neither was Ethan. Ethan wasn’t getting the million dollar or the hundred thousand dollar grand prize. His friend however kept hope alive. Vance climbed the rope next and he beat out Daniel’s time by one second. He became the new one to beat. Caleb went next. He had the whole Bergstrom Bunch cheering for him. It just wasn’t enough to beat Vance’s time. And so Vance just had to beat RJ “the Rocker” Roman.

RJ has dealt with this obstacle once before. He was experienced. He even set up a similar rope climb in his backyard and so everyone thought he’d have this in bag only they had all been wrong. RJ couldn’t beat Vance’s time. He ran out of steam. Therefore, Vance Walker won the million dollar prize. He was the third person in Ninja history to do so.

THE END!
