Tonight’s The Good Doctor episode begins with Lea in the office, Shaun brings her in a gown, tells her that she has to get hooked up to a fetal monitor.

Elsewhere, Daniel is in an ambulance with a patient, Mr. Ermy, from a nursing home and they are delayed because of fog so he asked to have the OR ready. The tires screech, the phone goes dead, Jordan was on the other line, the ambulance crashed.

Everyone in the ambulance is ok, the driver’s leg is broken, but there are other injuries, other vehicles crashed and the people look in worse condition. Bee and Ella, two little girls are stuck in a back seat, Jared gets them out. All of a sudden, Daniel is working on patient, on top of a car, and another car doesn’t see the crash because of the fog and crashes into him.

Shaun sees Aaron in the hallway and tells him Lea is having their baby, he says congratulations and goes in his apartment.

Mommy Morgan shows up at the hospital, with her baby, she couldn’t get a nanny.

Audrey gathers the team and tells them about the injured coming in from the multi vehicle accident, Daniel being one of them.

Jordan is waiting anxiously until she sees Daniel come in and he looks really hurt.

Ella needs a chest tube and abdominal surgery, Daniel has to go into surgery, he tells Jordan to promise no Opiods.

Marcus and Audrey are looking at a scan of one patient’s head, she has internal decapitation and Marcus says he has never worked on one.

Shaun is back with Lea, she looks in her bag and finds little hats that Shaun got made, one for peanut, Lea, Shaun and grandpa Aaron. She wants to call Aaron, but Shaun tells her that he knows she is in labour, he congregated them and then shut his door.

Ella has damage to her spleen, she has to be monitored.

Audrey talks to Aaron about her patient, on his opinion. He tells her that she is looking at two hours just to realign the skull and the spine. She asks if he would consult, he doesn’t need to cut, she needs his help, this one is scary, he says sure.

Lea is in her hospital gown, the contractions are increasing in intensity. Asher shows up and speaks to Shaun for his opinion on his patient. Lea tells him that he should be in surgery, she has hours to go and she will be ok. There is a little girl that needs him in surgery, he says ok and tells Asher to prep the OR. Then he tells Lea not to have this baby without him.

Daniel is out of surgery, she tells him that he needs Opiods and he says no, he has worked so hard to get sober. He just wants to talk about their dinner that night, so she does and holds his hand.

Lea walks into Aaron’s office and asks him to please speak to Shaun, she doesn’t like them to be in a fight and she asks him to put it aside. This is the most important day of Shaun’s life. All of a sudden, her water breaks, right there in his office.

Gayle visits Marcus and tells him that the board is calling an emergency meeting and how is going to handle the nurses push to unionize. He says he is on top of it. She says that is the problem.

Ella’s surgery went well, all of a sudden, her father passes out on the floor, Shaun says they have to get him to an OR stat.

Daniel’s blood pressure is dropping, he is having a hypertensive crisis because of the pain and needs Fentanyl. Jordan wants to give him meds, Jared is there and disagrees, he tells her that he is trying to hold on to his sobriety.

Jordan says “forgive me” and she gives Daniel a shot for the pain.

Ella’s father is in surgery, Shaun says that he has lost half of his blood volume, his brain has been under-refused for too long, he is dead. Asher is with him and is shocked that they loss him.

Marcus tells Dalisay that their relationship is an issue, and he doesn’t ant to lose her over his job.

In surgery, Audrey tells Aaron that holding on to anger is wrong, meaning with Shaun.

Daniel is awake, he knows that Jordan gave him the drug, she told him she couldn’t let him die, she is sorry.

Morgan is in her offie with her baby, who she is rocking, Alex walks in and she says she is done with this job, she cannot do it as well as she needs and still take care of Eden, and she won’t put her job first in front of people she loves again.

Ella’s mom is escorted into a room by Shaun to see her husband who is laying down peacefully on a able. She says he was just here, she doesn’t know how to tell her girls. Shaun tells he rotate when his brother Steve died, he didn’t now how he would survive, he had always taken care of him, but he did because someone else came into his life, took care of him and loved him, now he may be gone too. It is hard to lose people you thought would never leave, but she will be ok because she has no choice. When we lose people we love we have to find a way to keep going for the other people we love. He tells her to take all the time she needs, he is going to go have a baby now.

Shaun goes to see Lea, the contractions are about two minutes apart, he tells her that it is time to start pushing. Lea wants more time, she calls Shaun to the bed and tells him that she is scared, really scared. He tells her it is common to be anxious. She is worried that she won’t be able to protect their baby, he tells her everything will be ok, probably and he is excited to meet their son.

Mr. Ermy wants to go back to the home, he misses the people there, one in particular, Martha, he tells Alex that she is the reason he wakes up int he morning. Alex hands him his cell phone and says to give her a call.

Jordan goes in to see Daniel, he says he went over his patient record, she made the right call but he is going to need all the help he can get to recover. And, he needs to go back to Texas with his family. She says she knew when she gave him the drug that she might lose him, it wasn’t easy. He tells her that he doesn’t want to leave until they have their date.

Lea is in labour, they have to vacuum the baby out. Shaun tells her that he is there for her, she can squeeze his hand. A few more pushes and their baby boy is born. Lea tells Shaun that he doesn’t look like an alien at all. Shaun says he is beautiful. Shaun cuts the umbilical cord. Shaun introduces himself to his son, a tear falls.

Morgan is about to leave the office, Alex is there, he tells her that she doesn’t have to do this alone, she is the reason he wakes up in the morning and whatever they do, he wants to do it as a family. She kisses him and says she loves him to, then hands him the baby.

Jordan and Daniel have their date in his room, he thanks her for saving his life, many times. She tells him that he will be ok. He says he is going to miss her.

Audrey brings her patient outside, Aaron says it helps to stimulate the brain, operation sunset. Audrey looks at her and says her family is coming and they would love a smile.

Audrey gets a text, she tells Aaron that Shaun and Lea had their baby, does he want to meet them. He says he will stay there. Audrey gives him advice, don’t let losing his love of her surgery make him lose another love. Then, the patient smiles.

Marcus resigns.

In Lea’s room, Shaun asks Audrey if Dr. Glassman is coming, she doesn’t know what to say. All of a sudden, Aaron walks new the room with a present, and sees photos being taken. He doesn’t go in, but he leaves the present for them. Shaun takes the box and opens it, inside is a baby blanket and he name Steve engraved. Shaun asks Lea how he would know their son would be named Steve and she says because he knows him. Shaun wraps their baby in the blanket and says Steve Aaron Murphy, this is a gift from your grandfather.
