The Voice UK 2018 winner Ruti releases 'Dreams' music video

Publish date: 2024-05-14

Ruti, the winner of The Voice UK 2018, has unveiled the music video for her debut single ‘Dreams’.

The visual for ‘Dreams’, a cover of The Cranberries’ 1992 hit, is a simple yet effective performance piece which allows Ruti’s distinct vocals to shine. Performing in an abandoned living room, the songstress radiates happiness, so much so that it’s hard not to be completely mesmerised by her.

Since winning the show, Ruti, who was on Sir Tom Jones’ team, has been on cloud nine. Following its release, ‘Dreams’ went straight to number one on the UK iTunes charts.

The track was also at number one on the Official Charts midweeks, selling over 11.5k units in just 24 hours, however, it eventually charted at a very respectable number 14. ‘Dreams’ was the most downloaded track in the UK last week and also peaked at number one on the Spotify Viral Charts.

In our recent interview with the young star, Ruti revealed that “there’s so much happening” so we can expect plenty more exciting things from this rising talent in the near future.
